About Chef Eric
Chef Eric Prigg began cooking at home as a young teen. Little did he know that this childhood hobby would develop into a career! Eric joined the United States Air Force as a young man, a career that would allow him to study cooking all around the world including authentic Asian cuisines while stationed in the Far East. In addition to gaining a reputation for his Italian, Korean and Japanese dishes, Chef Eric' baked goods became a staple at family gatherings and professional meetings.
After 24 years in the military, Eric retired from one career to pursue his passion. He studied at the Culinary Arts Program at Sinclair Community College and graduated in 2002. He began his own catering company, Eric's Edibles, catering weddings, graduations, and housewarmings, to name a few. Although he enjoys cooking, he discovered his true passion as cooking instructor at the University of Dayton's Summer Laureate Camp and Institute for Learning in Retirement program. He also has been an instructor at the Fairborn and Huber Heights Senior Citizens Center, the local Girls Scout of Western Ohio, Camp Fire USA, and Kettering Recreation Center. Not only does Eric love teaching, he loves working with children. Cooking is his craft and teaching is his love, which is why Chef Eric seeks opportunities that allow him to teach and show people how to cook.
